Angkor Bike Race

On Saturday we took part in the Angkor Bike Race 2011. You could ride 17km, 30km, and 100km. We did the 30. Phil actually won two free entries from the Phnom Penh Post. And he rode the entire thing in his nun costume from Halloween, honking his horn at police and children. (His horn is one that the recycling collectors use, and it sounds kind of like a rubber duck). While in the first year there were about 75 riders, this year there were over 600. It was a fun ride, and after biking to and from Angkor Wat, we did about 50km. We started at 4:30 am meeting up to ride to the start, then the actual race started around 6am so we got to see sunrise over Angkor Wat. We also got free entry to the post race brunch at a really nice restaurant, where we stuffed ourselves and after that we were pretty much useless for the rest of the day. More info:
